Peaches

By day, I dream of peaches,
in a Japanese supermarket,
huge, bursting with life,
pink and gold,
each one neat,
in a white, lattice case,

I thirst for them

In my hands, I hold grapes,
blue and black
I choke them down,
so many, I feel sick,
bloated,

At night, I dream of you
